The regeneration and development of Poole’s waterfront will soon include this part-four/part-eleven storey apartment building on the Holes Bay Road close to the main railway station. Having been created in the early 1990’s when the new road was built, the site was only recently identified as being suitable for development. The proposed building will, along with other recent additions, form part of the north-western gateway to the town centre, and will be prominent in views across Holes Bay.
The building includes 46 one and two-bedroom apartments all of which will have westerly views across the bay and their own west-facing balcony. Car and cycle parking is under the building, lifting it clear of flood risks and mitigating road traffic noise for lower floors.
After extensive consultation and input from local residents and members the scheme gained planning permission in Summer 2015.
