Meridien Modena has had its base in Lyndhurst since 1988 and has a dedicated team of 30 people, which includes seven Factory Trained Technicians as well as three apprentices from the North Europe Apprentice Programme. The new site at Hounsdown gained planning approval in August 2016 and will provide a new after sales service facility, which will allow the business to grow and continue to offer their clients the best possible experience in luxury car ownership.
The building has been positioned in order to make the most efficient use of the site whilst also avoiding a high level power cable along the southern boundary. The triangular shape of the site allows for a distinctive building including a curved street frontage on Bulls Copse Road. The internal layout turns around a central point with various functions arranged as a series of layers following a curve.
A base colour high quality cladding system will be used across the building generally, and will be offset by a contrasting colour or curtain walling to signalise building entrances. A further feature element will be the brightly coloured vehicular entrance doors, decorated with the Ferrari corporate colours. A BREEAM Pre-Assessment has demonstrated how a BREEAM ‘very good’ accreditation may be achieved.
