Having designed the reserved matters submission for the landowner we were pleased to be retained by Dandara to help them implement the scheme, incorporating some of their house types. The approved scheme includes a mix of family houses, a small apartment building, and a comprehensive public realm design including two garden squares.
The scheme will provide 73 houses and 12 apartments with 14 units being classed as ‘affordable’. All the houses have a traditional relationship to a street or public space as well as a secure private garden. The apartments have balconies overlooking the smaller of the two public green spaces. All the units aim to meet national space standards while the architecture combines traditional forms and brick facades with modern windows, doors, porches and bays. Roofs are oriented to the south allowing for solar power and water installations
